Coconut Postpartum Smoothie Recipe
One of my favorite postpartum recipes is the Coconut Postpartum Smoothie. It’s easy to make, very simple and hearty for breastfeeding moms. Grab one first thing in the morning to hold you over until breakfast while you feed your baby.
Just throw these items into the blender and you are done!
- 1/2 of a 14oz. can Coconut Milk (the real fatty stuff that you cook with)
- 8-12oz. Coconut Water
- 1 Banana
- Blueberries -The amount depends on how sweet you like your smoothies. I usually add ½ a cup
The coconut milk provides fat to help your breast milk and the coconut water is hydrating. Did you know coconut water is packed full of electrolytes?
